1. Power outage first:

Before performing any operation, be sure to cut off the power supply of the monitor and unplug the battery. This is an iron rule.

2. Treat the ribbon cable gently:

The gray flat ribbon cable (FFC) in the picture is relatively fragile. When disassembling, do not pull or tug forcefully. Pinch the root of the plug and gently pull it out. During installation, ensure that the plug is fully inserted into the socket and the lock is securely fastened.

3. Align with the slot:

When installing the metal knob body, pay attention to the positioning slot at the bottom. If the screw is forcefully tightened, it may cause the plastic base to crack, which is a big loss.

4. Check the axis:

The new encoder axis is usually smooth. If there is wear and slippage inside the original knob cap (plastic cap), it is recommended to replace it or add thin tape to prevent the knob from spinning in the future.
