► Brief Description

This paddle are compatible with the XL M4735A defibrillator. It is black, made of a special, durable material. It features AED and manual modes. When the defibrillator is switched to AED mode, the system analyzes the patient's ECG using the multi-functional defibrillator pads connected to the electrode pads. Voice prompts and on-screen text guide the operator through the entire defibrillation process, including whether to recommend a shock. In manual mode, the operator can use the rigid electrode pads to autonomously select the energy (usually adjustable from 2J to 200J) and deliver the shock based on clinical judgment. In addition to basic defibrillation, this mode also supports synchronized cardioversion and non-invasive external pacing.

►Using the External paddle

Preparing for defibrillation using external electrode pads in manual mode is as follows:

1. Insert the data card, if necessary.

2. Rotate the energy selection knob to the "Manual On" position.

3. Simultaneously pull the electrode pad upwards to remove it from the holder.

4. Ensure the electrode pad is connected to the defibrillator.

5. Apply conductive material.

Caution: Do not apply conductive material by rubbing the electrode pads. Improper handling may cause the electrode pads to "crack" and potentially damage them.

6. Before use, ensure the handles are positioned in the patient's sternal-apex position (one below the right clavicle, one at the left nipple, mid-axillary line to the left).

Caution: Adjust the pressure and position of the electrode pads to optimize contact with the patient.
